NHAD Farm

Cultivation Project

We are planning to assist approximately 200 farmers in cultivating their land. They have approximately 240 acres of land altogether that needs to be irrigated. The farmers are willing to work the land; however, they have many barriers that are preventing them from moving forward like inadequate equipment and lack of water sources.

The farmers are utilizing manual equipment to do the little they can to survive. They need a tractor to maximize their efforts. They are currently using a cow-drawn plow to cultivate the land and you can imagine how limited they are. They rely solely on rain for the land to be irrigated. When this does not happen, they lose all of their plantations. You can help. Show your support by donating today.

Some of the produce grown on this farm are tomatoes, eggplants, green and red peppers, potatoes, and watermelons.

Our Employees

We have a number of employees and volunteers working for NHAD. Although they don't get paid that much they are very devoted to their work. They are reliable, flexible, and hard working people.

As previously reported, NHAD has launched a cultivation program at a middle school, Joy House in Gressier, Haiti. The school has approximately two hundred students. The NHAD team, led by the agronomists had a series of planting events, while providing the students education about agriculture and having them participate at a vegetable nursery project. The goal of the project is for the youth to promote agriculture to the younger generation to help improve people’s living condition in Haiti. Each student will adopt at least one plant to care for until it reaches maturity and it will eventually be his or hers.

Ongoing vegetable harvest takes place on a weekly basis at NHAD’s farm. Local merchants have been coming and purchasing products at half price. The lime trees are growing and doing well. Thanks to the Lord and all of our supporters.
